Palestinian leader Abbas arrives in Konya

KONYA (A.A) - December 19, 2011 - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Turkey's central Anatolian province of Konya on Monday. Abbas and accompanying delegation were welcomed by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu at the airport. Davutoglu and Abbas will hold a meeting at Konya Dedeman Hotel. Earlier, Turkish presidential press center stated that during Abbas' visit, Turkey's support to the recognition of the Palestinian state would be affirmed and officials would exchange views on the recent developments in the region.
