People Joined Crowds Of Protesting Students Outside Qolhak Garden

Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA – People, protesting UK’s anti-Iran policies, joined the protesting students outside Qolhak Garden, chanting “Down with the US” and “Down with the UK.” Police increased personnel deployed in area as number of angry protestors on streets and pavements around the garden rose. People chanted slogans to demand severance of ties with the UK. The students said that they would leave the area only on the order of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. They tried to enter the garden compound but were blocked by the police force. Speaking to IRNA, one of the students said the protestors are studying the documents seized from the Garden to get information on the UK’s role in assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Majid Shahriari. He added that having found the documents, the students hoped to prove the UK’s role in assassination of important personalities and elite of the country. A group of students are talking with security forces inside the garden. Incoming reports indicate that the documents obtained from the Garden have been transferred to a safe place./end
