President Rouhani's subway trip reflected in Azeri media
Baku, Jan 9, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani on Monday, the Clean Air Day in Iran, used the Tehran subway on his way from home to the Presidential Office. His move had a broad reflection in Azerbaijan Republic media.
The state Azer Taj news agency in an article titled 'The Iranian president goes to his office in public subway', wrote that when January 19 was named the Clean Air Day in Iran the Iranian President in a symbolic move used the subway to go to the Presidential Office from his home.
According to the report the Iranian president's presence in the subway was broadly welcomed by the Tehrani citizens in the Iranian capital city.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's Trend news agency in a report on the issue wrote that the Iranian President entered the subway in Azadi Square Subway Station and in the way to Imam Ali Station where he got off.
He got involved in private conversation with the Tehrani citizens.
The report adds that on the Clean Air Day the other Iranian officials used public vehicles on their ways to their offices.
Azerbaijan's Salam News in an article titled 'Iranian President and other state officials went to office using the Tehran subway' wrote that President Hassan Rouhani on the Clean Air Day used the subway as his environment-friendly public vehicle.
A number of news websites of Azerbaijan Republic carried similar reports coupled with photographs showing the Iranian President using the Tehran subway.
