Prime Minister meets AmCham Mongolia Reps

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister J.Erdenebat met with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia today (September 20) and made briefing on the Government policies and measures on economy and investment. At the beginning of his statement, the Premier said “First of all, measures for stabilizing macroeconomic state in order to achieve the good grounds making sure the delivery of objectives for the coming years. The Government will focus on forwarding the high-yielding projects, regaining the investors’ trust and ensuring favorable environment for investments”. In the composition of the Cabinet Secretariat, the Council for Protecting Investors’ Interests and the National Development Department are deployed with a major task to eliminate the pressures on investors, identifying and handling potential conflicts between the public and private sectors, ensuring coherence between industries and defining the priorities in Mongolia’s future growth. “We would like to reassure that Mongolia is a country full of business and investment opportunities”, he concluded the statement. Present at the meeting were, Ambassador of the USA to Mongolia Jennifer Zimdahl Galt and the heads of other diplomatic missions, as well as leaders of banking and financial institutions. The Minister of Foreign Affairs attended the previous regular meeting of AmCham Mongolia last month and gave information on Mongolia’s economic policy and the investment environment.
