Putin says he plans to visit China in summer

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he will visit China in the summer of 2016. "I am planning to visit the People’s Republic of China this summer and hope to have a good, thorough friendly conversation with the Chinese leader with whom we have established very warm business and personal friendly relations," Putin said on Friday at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The president asked the minister to convey his best wishes to the Chinese leader. Putin said that he was aware of the substantial talks Wang Yi held earlier in the day with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The Russian president noted that Moscow highly appreciated the level of the Russian-Chinese relations. He added that Russia and China continued cooperation in the international arena, in economy and the humanitarian area. "Our strategic partnership is gaining momentum," Putin said. Read more
