Rocket-propelled hand grenade hits Turkish Embassy in Baghdad

ANKARA (A.A) - January 18, 2012 - A rocket-propelled hand grenade has hit the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday. Diplomatic sources told the AA that two rocket-propelled hand grenades were launched against the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad at about 13.10 hours (Baghdad local time). One of the hand grenades hit the walls of the Turkish Embassy. The other one fell on the road by the embassy. There were no reports of any casualties at the Turkish Embassy. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a phone conversation with the Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad Yunus Demirer following today's attack. Ambassador Demirer is in touch with Iraqi authorities following the hand grenade attack.
