Russia waiting for response to invitation for Kim Jong-un to visit Russia - Kremlin

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Moscow is awaiting response from North Korea to an invitation for Kim Jong-un to pay a visit to Russia, Kremlin Aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters. "Our invitation has been handed over, the dates will be agreed on. We are awaiting our North Korean counterparts’ response," he said. According to Ushakov, there has been no response from Pyongyang yet. "No specific answer yet," he said when asked whether North Korea had responded to the invitation. In 2018, Moscow invited the North Korean leader to pay a visit to Russia. The invitations were handed over by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Speaker of the Russian Federation Council (upper house of parliament) Valentina Matviyenko. Read more
