Seddiqi: Presidential Elections Proved fake Nature Of ˈ09 Fraud Claims

Tehran, June 29, IRNA – Provisional Friday Prayer imam of Tehran this week referred to recent elections as a divine blessing, arguing that IRI presidential election not only disheartened the enemy, but also proved the fake nature of claims on occurrence of fraud in 2009 elections. ˈThe enemy resorted to complicated methods and its past experience, as well as its relative success achieved in IRI 2009 presidential elections, in a bid to turn the great opportunity of elections into another big threat and a new challenge (against the Islamic Republic).ˈ He added, ˈThe sworn enemies of this revolution had this time, too, assumed they could dissuade the people from attending the election polls, or at least to drastically decrease their presence, but the Almighty Allah, Who loves the Iranian nation, did not permit the enemies of this nation to get happy.ˈ Tehranˈs Friday preacher this week noted that the enemy had prepared all its plans aimed at discrediting the elections so that the peopleˈs enthusiasm for attending the election ballot boxes would die down and the national unity would be harmed. He added, ˈYet, God turned this election into another scene of putting on display His Immense Might, and you dear nation, too, showed that you deserved this divine blessing.ˈ Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi referred to the illuminating comments of the Supreme Leader of revolution during the election campaign, saying, ˈThe Supreme Leader injected farsightedness (in the nationˈs brains) and with his highly awakening comments made this political epicˈs creation possible.ˈ The provisional Friday Prayers imam of Tehran appreciated the countryˈs Friday Prayers imams, the Interior Ministry Elections Headquarters officials, the Intelligence Ministry agents, and the Guardians Council for providing certainty for the people (about the sound nature of the elections and the countryˈs high security status) so that no one could question the authenticity of the elections. Seddiqi meanwhile reiterated, ˈI believe the people once again pleased the Imam of the Time (May God Hasten His Reappearance), the election officials did all their best, the national broadcasting service passed its test gaining a good mark, and we, too, in our share, and on behalf of the nation, appreciate the entire legal bodies in charge.ˈ He added, ˈThis presidential election made the enemy lose hope, and its best effect was proving the false nature of the claims made by those who said the cheating had occurred in the course of the 2009 elections, challenged the people, and acted against the laws, while dealing a severe blow on the mouths of the enemies.ˈ Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi said, ˈThe elections and the way they were held were such that even the enemies announced that the peopleˈs presence in the elections was beyond imagination.ˈ He added, ˈThe elections showed that the Iranian nation are a people who intend to live under the banner of the Supreme Source of Jurisprudence (Vali ye-Faqih) till the reappearance of the Imam of the Time (MGHHR), so that the (defense) trenches would not be evacuated from dwellers in them.ˈ Seddiqi also referred to the June 26th, 1981 unsuccessful assassination attempt against the Supreme Leader of revolution, saying, ˈMay be that assassination, too, was Godˈs will aimed at preserving a human resource for the Iranian nation, so that his eminence, side by side with Imam Khomeini (P) would fill the gap of Martyr Beheshti and after the demise of Imam Khomeini (P), he would lead the people towards advancement and development non-stop.ˈ The provisional Friday Prayers imam of Tehran also referred to the June 23rd catastrophe in Egypt (in which a number of Shiˈa families were beheaded there), saying, ˈThat catastrophe was the ringing of a hazard alarm for the entire Islamic world, because the world oppressors have been for years introducing the Salafi sect with the music of death, looting, and aggression to the Muslim world (and beyond) in a bid to convince the world nations that Islam is a harsh religion, deprived of sound mentality.ˈ Seddiqi said that that sect (the Salafies) was created with pre-planned incentives, to serve as a part of the seditionist moves against the Muslims. He added, ˈAggression, murder and beheading have no place in the world today, and are practices of the remote past and cruelties of barbarian nature, although the occurrence of such catastrophes in some Islamic countries has led to globalizing of the type of Islam that was promoted by the late Imam Khomeini (P), which is another sign of our campˈs further expansion.ˈ/end
