Speaker of Lower House of Indian parliament arrives

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Speaker of the Lower House (Lok Sabha) of the Indian parliament Ms Sumitra Mahajan arrived Monday night in Ulaanbaatar to pay an official visit. At the “Chingis Khaan” international airport Ms Sumitra was welcomed by D.Demberel MP, a head of the Mongolia-India inter-parliamentary group; Mr Somnath Ghosh, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Mongolia; and other officials. In frames of her visit, which will continue until April 22, the Indian Speaker will take part in the 9th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting. The two Speakers will hold official talks and sign a cooperation protocol, between the State Great Khural and the Lower House of Indian parliament. Ms Sumitra will also be received by the President Ts.Elbegdorj. The Prime Minister of Mongolia Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg will pay a courtesy call on the Indian Speaker as well. The two Speakers will attend a ceremony of giving medical apparatuses to the National Center of Oncology. Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Office of Mongolian parliament B.Boldbaatar and the Secretary-General of the Office of the Lok Sabha Mr Anuul Mishra will ink a cooperation protocol.
