Speaker meets Prime Minister of Hungary

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold Monday received visiting Mr Viktor Orban, the Prime Minister of Hungary and accompanying him delegation. The Speaker wished them a pleasant stay here, after which Mr Orban said his country re-opened its Embassy in Ulaanbaatar and spoke about a number of Mongolian students in Hungary, official visit of the Mongolian President to Hungary, and the bilateral friendly relations. The Speaker underlined that an intensification of the cooperation with Hungary in all possible spheres is an important goal of the foreign policy of Mongolia, and said the first visit of the Hungarian Premier to Mongolia brings the relations and cooperation into a newer level and enriches them with economic contents. On the 65th anniversary of the Mongolia-Hungary diplomatic relations in 2015, the Hungarian President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade visited Mongolia, "the high level mutual visits play big role in forwarding the inter-parliamentary ties and cooperation". The Speaker said he had sent an invitation to his Hungarian counterpart to the 9th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP9) Meeting which will run here this April 21-22, and emphasized that Mongolia aims to fortify the ties and cooperation with Hungary in all spheres such as politics, economy, business and others. “Mongolia is not only a country with three million population but it also borders with two power states with huge markets. Mongolia established last year the Economic Partnership Agreement with Japan, which enables us to export all kinds of goods to Japan with tax reduction of 70-80%,” Mr Enkhbold underlined. Present at the meeting were J.Batzandan MP, a head of the Mongolia-Hungary inter-parliamentary group; S.Bayartsogt, Ts.Davaasuren MPs; T.Gandi, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Hungary; and other officials.
