Standing committee on state structure reports
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Head of this Standing committee A.Bakei and M.Batchimeg, D.Lundeejantsan and S.Demberel MPs delivered a report Friday about the committee’s works done within the autumn session of parliament of 2015.
The Standing committee discussed and resolved 337 issues at its 20 meetings. It also reviewed 209 bills, 14 draft resolutions of parliament, five resolutions of the Standing committee, two conclusions of the Constitutional Court, and issued overviews for final discussions of 38 proposals and four drafts. Moreover, the Standing committee set up six working groups to have them prepare bills and draft decisions for discussions and to work out drafts.
The Standing committee discussed two draft laws, draft amendments to six laws, drafts on annulling five laws and 11 draft resolutions of parliament, and passed them at plenary meetings. One of these bills is the law on elections, which consolidates all the elections of President, parliament, Citizens Representative Khural (Council) of provinces, the capital city and soums, A.Bakei said.
In accordance with the law on developmental policy and planning, a draft resolution of parliament was adopted on the concept of sustainable development until 2030, which is based on the Sustainable Development Ideology of UN. This document determines 45 goals and 20 basic indicators related to characteristics and urgent problems of Mongolia, and it will be implemented for 15 years in three phases, A.Bakei said.
He added that parliament passed the law on referendum.
S.Demberel MP added that the parliamentary resolution on sustainable development of Mongolia is important in bringing new standards to programmes of political parties to run for elections. D.Lundeejantsan MP briefed about the law on referendum and expressed his position over amending the Constitution of Mongolia.
