Swiss President Rejects Western Sanctions Against Iran

New York, Sept 29, IRNA – Swiss President Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said Bern disapproves West’s unilateral sanctions against Iran. In an exclusive interview with IRNA, she said her country will continue banking exchanges with Iran. She said Switzerland did not approve the unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran by the US and Europe. She said Bern rejected restrictions exercised on Iran’s banking system beyond the United Nations regulations. The Swiss government builds its economic relations with Iran based on decisions made by the United Nations regardless of West’s unilateral sanctions against Tehran, she added./end
