Syrian tanks reportedly kill 50 people in Homs

ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 26, 2011 - At least 50 people were killed Monday by the Syrian army in the country's Homs city, a senior Syrian opposition figure told the Anadolu Agency. Syrian army tanks launched a pre-dawn attack on Bab-i Amr neighborhood of Homs largely populated by Turkmens, Halid Hodja, a member of the Istanbul-based Syrian National Council, said.  Hodja said at lest 50 people were killed and many others might have been trapped under debris from leveled buildings.
