Thousands Take Out Peace March In Lucknow Against Global Terrorism

New Delhi, April 3, IRNA – Voicing concern over the scourge of global terrorism, thousands of Indian Muslims, mainly Shias, Sunday took out a peace march in Lucknow, capital city of Uttar Pradesh state. Under the banner of Majlis Ulema-e-Hind, marchers including women and children, carrying banners and placards, inscribed with slogans against the terrorism and target killings, expressed their solidarity with the victims. Earlier addressing the marchers, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad, General Secretary of Majlis Ulema-e-Hind condemned the brutal terror acts that has caused huge losses in human lives from various nationalities and wreaked tremendous destruction and damage across the globe. He reaffirmed that these terror acts ran counter to the teachings of the divine religions as well as ethical and human values. Jawwad stressed the necessity of tracking down the perpetrators in the light of the results of investigations and bringing them to justice. ˈWe are determined to fight terrorism in all its forms. Every religion rejects terrorism. There is a need to confront deviant ideology where it appears who is the founder,ˈ he added. Countering the US and Israel for blemishing Islam, Jawwad noted that killing of innocent people is a sin in Islam and those involved in the acts are not Muslims. ˈThrough this march we want to send a strong message that Muslims are united in the fight against terrorism, he added. Indian scholar while condemning the destructive policies of the US, Israel and their allies said: “The US and Israel have only enhance terrorism. He also said that the terrorism is being funded by Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The world has witnessed that these countries have killed millions of innocent people in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Bahrain and Syria on the pretext of elimination of terrorism,” Jawwad further noted. He maintained that there is a historical record that these terrorist forces were constructed by CIA for their own benefits. Beside Kalbe Jawwad, other eminent personalities who took part in the march were Syed Ayub Ashraf-President All India Mohammadi Mission, Rakesh Chatri-President UP Masih Sangh, Gurmit Singh-President Sikh Mahasangh, Acharya Jana Jai Sharan Ji Maharaj-Peta Deshvar Ayodhya and Acharya Shri K Shukla. Towing the line of Jawwad, they in one voice said: “Terrorism had brought the entire world to the brink of war. They called upon the people to unite for global understanding of world peace and justice.ˈ They also expressed their resentment against brandishing the terrorism with any religion./end
