Ties With Iran, Strategic: Bolivian Envoy

Tehran, Oct 2, IRNA – Bolivian Ambassador to Iran Jorge Miranda Luizaga said Monday that Tehran and La Paz enjoy strategic relations, adding his country attaches importance to expansion of all-out cooperation with Iran. Talking to IRNA, the Bolivian envoy described the level of bilateral relations with Iran as good. Rejecting certain western countries' claims that Iran is an isolated country, he praised the Islamic Republic's presidency over the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) as the second largest international body. The Bolivian diplomat criticized the West's anti-Syrian measures, describing the moves as violation of international regulations. He then called on the NAM to help prevent military intervention in Syria./end
