Union of Constitution Creators runs meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State House Wednesday hosted a meeting of the so-called Union of the Constitution Creators on occasion of the 24th anniversary of the democratic Constitution of Mongolia. Congratulating them ob the anniversary, one of the Vice Speakers of parliament L.Tsog said 430 members of the People’s Great Khural adopted the current Constitution 24 years ago and presented a parliament’s policy over the Constitution. The Union’s president D.Moondoi gave a report themed “Amendments to the Constitutions of some countries”, then talked about ethics, principles and flexibility of amending Constitutions and the amendments to the U.S. Constitution. He also said discussions of the Constitution in France are carried out by the two Houses of parliament, the President, the government and the Constitutional Council. The Constitution of Japan never been amended since 1947, he emphasized. This meeting also brought together many members of the former People’s Great Khural.
