U.S. Secretary of State has mistaken diplomacy for a toy: Iran’s Larijani

TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has mistaken diplomacy for a toy. Larijani made the remarks during an open session of the Majlis on Sunday in response to remarks that made on October 26, in which she made some accusations against Iran and said that the United States plans to open a “virtual embassy” for Iran that will give Iranians online information about visas and student exchange programs despite the lack of formal diplomatic ties. “It seems that Ms. secretary has mistaken diplomacy with a toy. Diplomacy…is not her cosmetics to be used for make-up,” Larijani commented. He added that opening a virtual embassy for Iran will not resolve the problems facing Washington.
