Vladimir Solovyov: I felt that President Ilham Aliyev personally traces the press during the day

Baku, November 27, AZERTAC Chairman of the Russian Union of Journalists Vladimir Solovyov shared his impressions about the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev during his visit to Azerbaijan. Vladimir Solovyov told that President Ilham Aliyev is fully informed on the events which take place in the Russian and Azerbaijani press. Noting that during the conversation, President Ilham Aliyev mentioned surnames of many journalists from various countries of the world, including Russia, Vladimir Solovyov said: “I felt that President Ilham Aliyev personally traces the press during the day. The matter is that President Ilham Aliyev reads western media in English, ours – in Russian, Turkish – in Turkish. Exactly thanks to language skills, the head of state has no problems in reading of these materials”. The Chairman of the Russian Union of Journalists added that in characters of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, there are many similar features. They possess improbable political horizon. It is unlikely other presidents can be compared to them.
