VP Departs For Baku For OIC Women Conference

Tehran, Oct 19, IRNA – Vice-President For Women Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi left here for Baku, Azerbaijan Republic, on Sunday to attend the fifth ministerial meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Women. Baku will host the 5th Ministerial Conference on the Role of Women in the Development of the OIC Member States on October 20-21. The meeting is aimed at reviewing the progress of women's status and strengthening of their role in the OIC member states. The conference will end with the adoption of Baku Declaration. OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani will inaugurate the Fifth Ministerial Conference. Azerbiajan's President Ilham Aliyev is to address the event./end
