Western Sanctions Against Iran Not Affecting Its Deterrent Power

Tehran, Oct 28, IRNA – Minister of Defense Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Sunday that the sanctions imposed on Iran by western countries have not affected the country’s deterrent power and its determination to make all-out progress. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a conference on passive defense, Vahidi said the unjust sanctions imposed on Iran by western countries led by the US, made Tehran move forward relying on its own technology and power. He referred to the media as one of the major tools of passive defense. Vahidi stressed that Iran has succeeded to make remarkable achievements in the field of passive defense during the past five years./end
