‘Hungary attaches big importance to its relationship with Azerbaijan’

Baku, June18, AZERTAC Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Laszlo Kover has said his country puts a special emphasis on its relationship with Azerbaijan. “Hungary attaches great importance to developing relations with Azerbaijan,” he told journalists. “Cooperation with Azerbaijan in ensuring energy security is very important for official Budapest.” Hailing Azerbaijan as the leading country in the South Caucasus, the Speaker of the National Assembly said Hungary, as a member of the European Union, considers Azerbaijan a strategic partner in the region. “Azerbaijan is one of the most important partners of the European Union in the region,” he added. “The European Union should accord great importance to its relationship with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is a vital country in the region in terms of ensuring energy security.”
