The President of the Republic discusses With His Azerbaijani Counterpart Bilateral Relations And Means Of Developing Them
Baghdad / NINA / - The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, discussed today, Wednesday, at the Presidential Palace of Zugulba in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, with the Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, the bilateral relations and the agreement on the need to improve and develop them.
Rashid stressed, according to a presidential statement, the importance of expanding horizons of joint cooperation in the economic, investment, tourism and energy fields, in a way that serves the interests of the two countries.
He explained: "Iraq, after overcoming many challenges and forming a government, is living in a state of distinguished stability at the political, economic and security levels."
Rashid pointed to the size of the investment opportunities that will be achieved after the approval of the budget, noting: "Iraq has changed for the better.
He stressed the seriousness of the current government in achieving comprehensive stability, according to the testimony of visitors to the country who praised the current security and economic development, and that most Arab countries hope that Iraq will regain its pivotal role.
The President of the Republic pointed to the importance of encouraging businessmen to invest, calling for lifting the visa ban on Iraqis, expressing his wishes for the success of the Non-Aligned Movement summit to be hosted by Baku.
For his part, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stressed that the visit of the President of the Republic constitutes an opportunity to discuss strengthening and consolidating bilateral relations between the two countries on several levels, explaining the role of the Non-Aligned Movement and its influence in the world and future plans to establish a representative for it in New York.
Aliyev also stressed his country's keenness to expand the area of cooperation and coordination with Iraq, especially in the areas of work, construction and industries, indicating that there are opportunities to expand economic relations further in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two peoples for progress and prosperity.
The Azerbaijani president expressed his hope that the certificates granted to Iraqi students who obtain their degrees from Azerbaijan will be approved./ End
