Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology Hosts Gulf Meeting on Electric Equipment Standards

 

 

Doha, May 30 (QNA) - Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology hosted today the 15th meeting of the Gulf technical committee for standards of electric power generation, transmission and distribution equipment, in cooperation with the GCC Standardization Organization. 

The two-day meeting will discuss a number of important topics, including the committee's plan for the year 2023, which includes a number of standard specifications projects related to generation, transmission and distribution equipment of electric power, which contributes to the standardization of standards in the electricity sector in GCC countries, and the significant role of using unified standard specifications in raising efficiency and adopting the electric power sector by supplying equipment with unified standard specifications in the GCC countries and providing better economies. The meeting will also discuss recommendations related to the committee contained in the minutes of the meetings of the General Committee for Standards, the technical council and the ministerial committee.
