SAR: Haramain High Speed Railway and Mashaaer Metro Line Ready to Transport Pilgrims

Jeddah, May 31, 2023, SPA -- The Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) said the Haramain High Speed Railway and Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro Line are ready to transport pilgrims with ease and convenience during this year's Hajj season.
SAR has harnessed all capabilities to improve the pilgrims' experience through the Haramain High Speed Railway, one of the top 10 fastest trains in the world, which connects the Two Holy Mosques, passing through King Abdullah Economic City and Jeddah.
According to SAR, Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro Line is ready, and preventive maintenance and testing of trains and stations have been completed, attesting to the highest standards of safety and quality. Trips start on the 7th day of Dhu al-Hijjah (June 25) and continue till the end of the days of Tashreeq. Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro Line is expected to witness more than 2,000 trips by 17 trains that will pass by nine stations in Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina to serve the pilgrims visiting the holy sites.
