BBC says the group of British scientists made a sensational discovery

Almaty, March 07, 2009 (Khabar) - Researches proved the horses were domesticated for the first time 5,5 000 years ago on the territory of Northern Kazakhstan. Earlier it was supposed the man domesticated this animal during the period of Bronze Age for the first time as found fragments of harness demonstrated this fact. But authors of article in Science magazine say Kazakh people tamed horses 1 000 years earlier and horse-flesh was eaten and mare’s milk was drunken as tonic weakly alcohol drink. The researches show the idea of horse taming was born in tribes of Bota culture. The analysis of bones shows the ancient horses didn’t differ from tamed horses of Bronze Age. Only form of die and teeth were changed as a result of using of bit. Idea of horse domesticating is connected with development of human civilization, mainly with trade and military art. And the scientists intend to re consider and add the ancient history of Kazakhstan on the basis of this new discovery.
