Coronavirus cases in Azerbaijan surpass 3,000

Baku, May 16, AZERTAC 158 more cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Azerbaijan, while 58 patients have been recovered and discharged from the hospital, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told AZERTAC. “The overall confirmed cases in Azerbaijan has reached 3,138, with 1,944 recoveries and 36 deaths, while treatment of 1,158 others is underway in the specialized hospitals. 41 of the infected are in a severe and 52 in a moderate-to-severe condition, while the health of others is stable,” the Task Force said. “A total of 226,005 tests have been carried out in the country so far,” the Task Force added.
