The nation’s health is Kazakhstan’s welfare
Almaty, March 20, 2009 (Khabar) - Social ideas and projects fair was held in Almaty. The 5th republic’s fair of social ideas and projects is entitled “The nation’s health is Kazakhstan’s welfare”. It is being held in Almaty under the support of the Ministry of culture and information and the Fund of the First President. 120 organizations from across Kazakhstan are presenting their programs. The best ones will receive financing from the Fund and their authors will be able to implement their ideas. This year, 148 projects are presented at the fair including programs of providing assistance to disabled people, projects on supporting cancer patients and rehabilitation to drug addicts, programs of family protection and preventing social orphan hood. There are 10 nominations in the project contest including “education and society”, “relevant topics and possible solutions”, “help your neighbour”, “youth initiatives” and others.

- The contest committee has initially selected 20-22 projects to the total sum of 17-18 million tenge. The average cost of projects is varied from 300 thousand to 10 million tenge. However, on the average we plan to allocate about one million tenge per one project.
The projects fair is being held for the fifth time. Winners of the past years have already made their ideas reality with the help of the fund’s financing including the project on creating hot lines on public health and education issues.
