AFC Officially Recognizes Renaming Of Pirouzi Football Club To Perspolis

Tehran, May 20, IRNA - Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Saturday announced that it has officially recognized the change in name of Iranian football club Piroozi to Perspolis. This was announced by AFC Secretary General Alex Soosay in an official letter to Iran’s football federation, according to AFC website. Based on regulations of the AFC, the new name has been registered and will be used in future correspondence with the club, he said./end
