Al Duhail Face Saudi Al Taawoun in AFC Champions League

Riyadh, February 17 (QNA) - Qatar's Al Duhail are staying confident ahead of their 2020 AFC Champions League Group C second-round match against Saudi Arabia's Al Taawoun on Tuesday. The match will take place at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraidah in Saudia Arabia. Al Duhail seeks to continue their victories that started in the first round when they defeated Iran's Persepolis last week in Doha 2-0. The two goals scored by Mario Mandzukic and Edmilson Junior. This confrontation is a challenge for the lead, especially that Al Taawoun also managed to win in the first round against Sharjah 1-0 in the UAE, and therefore they will be more powerful when playing with Al Duhail at home and in front of their fans. Although Al Taawoun team includes good players, Al Duhail is able to win, especially that Al Taawoun ranks 6th in the Saudi league standings and away from the teams that compete for the lead, unlike Al Duhail which currently leads the QNB Stars League and includes a group of distinguished stars such as Mario Mandzukic, Edmilson Junior, Medhi Benatia, Almoez Ali, Karim Boudiaf, Assim Madibo, Luiz Martin, Ahmed Yasser and other players who are able to return with the three points. Al Duhail tops Group C after all teams had played their first match, with Al Taawoun second with three points. Meanwhile, Sharjah and Persepolis occupy the last two spots respectively.
