Al Shamal SC Signs Tunisian Handball Goalkeeper Marouen Maggaiz

Doha, August 13 (QNA) - Al Shamal club signed a one-season contract with Tunisian handball goalkeeper Marouen Maggaiz, coming from Qatar's Al Wakrah club. Maggaiz had played on loan with Al Shamal in the 15th Arab Cup Championship held in the Tunisian city of Beni Khiar last March, and Al Shamal won the title after beating Al Arabi SC 33-31. Earlier, Al Shamal also signed Tunisian player Elias Zamel. Al Shamal's contract with the two Tunisian players comes within the framework of strengthening the team's ranks in preparation for the resumption of the Qatari men's handball tournament, scheduled for Sept.10.
