Asia shooting championship concludes

Taoyaun, Apr. 2 (BNA): President of Asian Shooting Federation Shaikh Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has arrived in Taipei to attend the 12th Asian Airgun Championships, held at the shooting range of the Chinese Taipei Shooting Association in Taoyaun. The event, concluded on Tuesday during which the finest shooting athletes from around Asia competed for the gold. Following his arrival, Shaikh Ali met the minister of sports and education affairs in Taipei in presence of President of Kuwait Shooting Association Duaij Al Otaibi, and thanked him for the arrangements made prior to the championship, as well as for what Taipei has offered in terms of support to have this event organized on home soil. Shaikh Ali and other top officials from the national shooting federations in Asia attended the opening ceremony of the championships during which they had discussions on ways to develop bilateral relations and cooperation. India won 16 gold, five silver and four bronze medals in 12th Asian Airgun Championships 2019 in Taipei.
