Asian Shooting event ends

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): Asian Shooting Federation president Shaikh Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa recently witnessed the closing ceremony of the seventh youth pistol shooting camp at Shaikh Zayed Al Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex. The event was held under the auspices of the Asian Shooting Federation in cooperation with Kuwait Shooting Club. Shaikh Ali distributed the prizes and certificates to the participants in the camp, and wished them success in future tournaments. Shaikh Ali inspected the preparations for the 8th Amir Grand Prix, which kicks off on Saturday, with the participation of more than 420 shooters from 42 Arab and international countries. Shaikh Ali commended the efforts exerted by the tournament officials and those of the Kuwait Shooting Federation. He thanked the president of the Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Daij Al Otaibi for his support and dedication in bringing this grand tournament, which is now being attended by the cream of the world's best shooters. Shaikh Ali also said the participation of a larger number of shooters in this edition underlines the great success witnessed at the Grand Prix and has been recognised as one of the most important competitions of the International Federation. He stressed the importance of organising such international tournaments as an opportunity for the participating shooters to gain experience and improve their skills, thus developing the sport of shooting in Asia and fulfilling more achievements at the Asian and international levels.
