Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers rank 2nd at European championship

Baku, June 20, AZERTAC Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling team have ranked 2nd in the overall medal table of the 2019 Cadet European Championships held in the Italian city of Faenza. With 135 points, Azerbaijan finished as runner-ups behind Russia with 178 points. Georgia ranked 3rd with 117 points. Azerbaijan`s Farid Sadigli (45kg), Malik Aliyev (48kg) and Nihad Mammadli (55kg) were crowned as European champions. Lachin Valiyev (92kg) grabbed silver, while Khasay Hasanli and Allahverdi Aliyev won bronze medals in the 65kg and 71kg classes respectively.
