Bahrain's Gasshuku Karate team wins 12 medals

Manama, Jan. 31 (BNA): Bahrain’s Gasshuku Karate team returned from Kuwait Friendly Championship second edition after clinching 5 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals. The 20-member strong team presented an outstanding performance which resulted in their winning the 12 medals. The delegation was headed by Dr. Hussain Abdulmajeed Al Drazi, representative of head office in Japan and founder of the game in the Kingdom of Bahrain, member of the championship's refereeing panel . The delegation comprised the team's managing director Nadal Al Drazi and coaches Hussain Ali Mehdi, Hussain Al Matrook, Mustafa Marhoon. On this occasion, Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, President of Bahrain Self-Defence Association congratulated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee; and, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association (BMAA), praising Their Highnesses’ continuous support to self-defence arts and His Highness’s strategic vision that mirrors the Kingdom’s tremendous progress through external participations.
