BBA president visits Al-Ahli Club

Manama, Apr. 9 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA), HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has stressed that the Al-Ahli Club is among the major basketball clubs in the kingdom, noting that it provides the national basketball teams with skilled players. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali lauded the positive role played by the club’s board chairman and members to develop basketball in the club and make more capable to win local titles. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali made the statements while the Al-Ahli Club, the second leg of his visits to the Capital’s clubs, where he was welcomed by the club’s board chairman, Fareed Taha, and members, in the presence of BBA board members. HH Shaikh Isa bin Isa highlighted BBA’s future strategy aimed at developing basketball in Bahrain so as to be able to achieve more successes. He also stressed the key role played by the national clubs in implementing BBA’s strategy and ensuring its success. BBA president affirmed that Al-Ahli Club is a basic pillar of basketball in Bahrain, stressing BBA’s support for the club’s keenness to attain achievements and clinch titles. He added that his visits to clubs provide an opportunity to discuss with the officials of Bahraini clubs the best means to develop the kingdom, as well as to identify their needs. Al-Ahli Club’s deputy board chairman praised the perfect steps taken by BBA, under the leadership of HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, to improve basketball in the kingdom, noting that the visit will motivate the club, in particular, and the basketball community in Bahrain, in general.
