Former internationals to participate in ‘Al Firjan Playgrounds

Manama, Feb. 6 (BNA): Former international football strikers Hussain Ali ‘Pele’ and Mohammed Hubail will be the chief guests in the next visit of the ‘Al Firjan Playgrounds’ project tomorrow at the Capital Governorate football grounds.
The initiative was launched by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, a plan to set up playgrounds equipped with integrated sport and entertainment facilities for young athletes.
Both ex-national team stars will be joining a dedicated team from the BOC and the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), as they provide their expertise and some incentive gifts to the youngsters while playing a game of football.
The team includes Hasan Ismail of BFA, who expressed gratitude to HH Shaikh Nasser for his keenness to revive football playgrounds, which in turn would promote sport as a healthy lifestyle among different segments of the society.
Hamad Mohammed, BFA technical supervisor, said by staging these events, they aim to increase the local community’s literature about the importance of sport activity in developing noble morals and protecting individuals against modern diseases.
"We felt how pleased those young players were when they played their favourite sport with football stars of Bahrain, who presented them with wonderful gifts for them to enjoy every day," said Mohammed.
