Gulf Cup: Bahrain's Coach Expects Tough Match Against Iraq

Doha, December 04 (QNA) - Bahrain's national team coach Helio Sousa stressed Wednesday that the team has a difficult match coming against Iraq in the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup. He said, in a press conference held at the competition's media center today, that both teams will be under pressure to produce a result. He added that the team has gained experience from the previous matches they played and will look to build on that in the coming matches. Sousa said that they were happy with their preparations so far and believe they have an opportunity to win. He did acknowledge that his team is yet to play at the level of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. He maintained however that they have different skills and tools that can enable them to get the win. He also said that the team's approach defending give them an edge against opposition, and that it also helps them attack better. On his defensive-based mentality, he said that defending is an important art of the game that his team use to build their capabilities on. (QNA)
