HH Nasser bin Hamad hails successful endurance race

Al-Ula, Feb.2 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa led the Royal team which competed in the endurance race on the cup of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa rode his horse “Al-Ghali” in the race which was held in the Governorate of Al-Ula in Saudi Arabia. He extended deepest congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on the success of the international endurance championship. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa finished in 15th position out of 254 riders from different countries in the world, who competed in the the 120-kilometer race. He expressed pride at competing in race, stressing the keenness of the Royal team to participate and contribute to the success of the endurance race on the cup of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. He hailed the outstanding organization, commending the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, which held the championship in cooperation with the International Endurance Federation. He commended the performance of the Bahraini Royal team which finished the second position. Bahrain’s Royal Team also came second in the overall ranking, after the UAE Al-Fursan team. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa hailing royal keenness on promoting the endurance sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He congratulated UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Fubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and Dubai Crown Prince HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, on the outstanding performance of the UAE Al-Fursan riders who won the top three positions. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa met UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and Dubai Crown Prince HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. He also met Madinah province Governor HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and hailed the outstanding organization of the endurance race on the cup of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. SCYS First Deputy Chairman and Head of Bahrain Althletics Association (BAA) HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa also attend the endurance race in the province of Al-Ula.
