HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attends Horse Racing Festival

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today attended the HRH the Crown Prince Cup race held at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. HH Shaikh Isa highlighted His Majesty King Hamad’s long-standing commitment to promoting equestrian sports among Bahrain’s youth, stressing that the Kingdom’s equestrian tradition reflects its Arab and national heritage. HH Shaikh Isa also highlighted HRH the Crown Prince’s enthusiastic support towards equestrian sports in the Kingdom, which continue to grow from strength to strength each year HH Shaikh Isa noted the important role of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, chaired by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa bin Salman, in planning the racing season, which includes world-class horse racing events taking place throughout the year. HH Shaikh Isa went on to note that Bahrain continues to garner international recognition as a key supporter of equestrian culture, and emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to reinforcing its reputation as an international centre of equestrian sports. HH Shaikh Isa was accompanied by HH Shaikh Sultan Aldin bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shakh Hamad bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, as well as a number of dignitaries, diplomats and spectators. At the end of the race, HH Shaikh Isa congratulated the winners and presented the Oaks Al Bahrain Cup to Abdullah Fawzi Nass, the Crown Prince Cup for Arabian Horses to Yousif Taher, the Crown Prince's Cup for local produce to HH. HH Shaikh Isa then received, from HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Higher Committee Cup and the Crown Prince's Cup for imported horses (on the victories of his horses Dark Power and Throkill Star on the third and fifth races).
