HH Shaikh Khalid orders victory rewards to national handball team players

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has given directives to distribute victory rewards to the players of the Bahrain national handball team for qualifying for the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship for the fifth time in history. The national team beat Saudi Arabia 18-17, which allowed them to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2020 Asian Men's Handball Championship, currently held in Kuwait. The move is in line with HH Shaikh Khalid’s appreciation of the players’ outstanding performance and level, wishing them success in clinching the Asian title. BOC Secretary-General, Mohammed Hassan Al-Nusuf, expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for his constant support for the national teams, and keenness to provide perfect conditions for them to achieve success and honour their country at international gatherings. Al-Nusuf asserted that in line with HH Shaikh Khalid’s directives, BOC had already started taken the necessary procedures to distribute the victory rewards to the players, in coordination with the admistrative mission in Kuwait and the Bahrain Handball Federation.
