HH Shaikh Nasser’s achievements in 2018

Manama, (BNA): HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has attained multiple achievements in 2018. January: - HH Shaikh Nasser gave directives to allocate planes to transport Bahraini spectators to support the National Football team at the Gulf Cup in Kuwait. -The marine heritage sports season, patronised by HH Shaikh Nasser, kicks off. February: - HH Shaikh Nasser named, based on HM the King’s permission, 2018 the “Only Gold” year. - HH Shaikh Nasser participated in the Triple Crown championship in Dubai, and won the first place at the GCC level. - February 13 approved as the date of the Bahrain Sports Day, based on his directives. - Universities League launched. March: - HH Shaikh Nasser opened the 2018 School Mini Olympics, in line with HM King Hamad’s directives to boost Bahraini sports. April: - HH Shaikh Nasser launches “Istijaba” (Response) programme. - HH Shaikh Nasser clinches first place in Texas Ironman Championship. May: - Winners of the second edition of the “Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award” honoured. - HH Shaikh Nasser clinches first place in the Royal Windsor Endurance Race, - Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Sports Tournament (‘Nasser 11’) launched. July: - Maritime heritage completion launched. - HM the King appoints HH Shaikh Nasser as Head of the King’s Football Cup. August: - HH Shaikh Nasser opens the Scientific Centre, the first facility of its kind that serves sustainable development goals. September: - HH Shaikh Nasser announces the participation of the Muharraq Football Claub in the Saudi Professional Football League. October: - HH Shaikh Nasser won first place in the Ironman World Championship 2018. - He received influential people on social media. - Nasser bin Hamad talks to young people about "determination" within the "100 wave" initiative. November: - HH Shaikh Nasser participates in World Youth Forum (Peace and Development) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. - HH Shaikh Nasser participates in a forum on obstacles facing the development of the youth and sports sector. December: - HH Shaikh Nasser participates in Social Media Summit in Dubai.
