HH Shaikh Nasser crowns King's Cup for private GCC stables winners

Manama, Mar. 1 (BNA): HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and the Bahrain Royal Equestrian And Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has crowned UAE jockey, Saif Juma Mohammed Beljafla, from MAS stable, the winner of HM the King's Cup for private GCC stables.
Beljafla finished the four phases of the race in 4 hours, 33 minutes, at a speed of 26 km/hour.
Al-Ain stabl’s jockey, Narayan, was second with 4.33.58, and Al-Kamda stable’s jockey Ahmed Saleh Al-Shehhi, came third after clocking 4.34.05.
HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated the three UAE winners, lauding the outstanding performance of all jockeys.
Meanwhile, the endurance race on HM the King Cup will kick off at 06:00 am on Saturday at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
The 160-kilometre will feature five stages, including a 40-km race (red), a 35-km (blue), a 35-km race (green), a 30-km race (yellow) and a 20-km race (yellow).
Horses taking part in 160-kilometre endurance race on HM the King’s Cup for the public today underwent veterinary check-ups at the Bahrain International Endurance.
