Iran To Host Asian Tennis Confederation Meeting In 2013

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA -- Iran will host the next year's meeting of the Asian Tennis Confederation in September 2013, said secretary of Iran’s Tennis Federation. Iran put forward a proposal to that effect in the meeting of Asian Tennis Confederation in Manila, capital of the Philippines, on Saturday. Shahrokh Keshavarz said that Iranian proposal to host next year's meeting was approved by members of the confederation. Elaborating on this year's meeting of the Asian tennis administrators, he noted that the confederation’ discussed ways to develop tennis in the ancient continent and promote cooperation among the member states. The meeting is attended by the heads of tennis federations of the Asian countries. Meanwhile, he said that Iranian representatives held talks with administrators of tennis confederations of Asian countries on ways to develop cooperation especially with the regional states. The talks were held on the sidelines of Manila meeting./end
