Iran`s football coach names Iran squad for Bahrain qualifier

TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (MNA) -- Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz has invited 23 players to the team for the match against Bahrain in the World Cup qualifiers. Osasuna midfielder Masoud Shojaei, who has undergone surgery for his left foot last week, has been left out of the team. Wolfsburg striker Ashkan Dejagah has not been invited to the team as well. Iran is scheduled to play Bahrain on November 11 at the Bahrain National Stadium. Carlos Queiroz’s men have humiliated Bahrain 6-0 on October 11 at the Azadi Stadium. Iran football team tops the standings in Group E of the FIFA World Cup qualifier, followed by Qatar.
