Malaysia Open World Women's Team C'ship Campaign In Style By Beating The Netherlands 3-0

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- Malaysia opened their World Women's Squash Team Championship 2016 in style by whitewashing the Netherlands 3-0 in a Group C match at the Jeu De Paume Squash Arena in Paris, France. Rising star S. Sivasangari, marked her debut in the championship with a superb 11-4, 11-7, 11-7 straight sets victory over Tessa Ter Sluis in just 24 minutes. Malaysia's squash queen Nicol David lived up to expectations by sweeping aside Natalie Grinham 11-6, 11-3, 11-1 before National champion Delia Arnold completed the rout by beating Milou Van Der Heijden 9-11, 11-7, 11-5, 8-11, 11-5 after a mammoth battle that lasted 43 minutes. According to the championship's official website wsfwomensteams.com on Monday, Australia also whipped Austria 3-0 in another Group C match. Malaysia, the third seed in the championship take on Australia on Tuesday while the Netherlands face Austria. --BERNAMA
