President Felicitates Championship Of National Basketball Team

Tehran, July 14, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad felicitated championship of Iran’s National Basketball Team in William Jones Competitions to the nation, coaches and members of the team. According to the Presidential Office website on Saturday evening, Ahmadinejad said in his message that impressive victory of Iranian basketball players created honor for Iran in the sports fields. He said continuation of these victories in different fields of sports indicates strong intention, high aspiration and self-confidence and existence of incredible talents among youths of this land. President Ahmadinejad wished more success for Iranian athletes. 35th round of William Jones Basketball Competitions were held in Taiwan. Iran, Japan, South Korea, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Taiwan A & B and a team from the US took part in the tournament./end
