President of Qatar Football Association Meets President of CONCACAF in the U.S.

Doha, June 27 (QNA) - President of Qatar Football Association (QFA) HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani met Wednesday with President of Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Victor Montagliani, with HE Secretary-General of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Hassan Al Thawadi present. The meeting, which was held in the United States, focused on developing ties between the two federations in the future, in addition to preparing a cooperation agreement that will be signed at a future date when all of its aspects are agreed upon. The President of QFA was in the U.S. following an invitation from the CONCACAF to attend parts of the Gold Cup. At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchange gifts, with the president of QFA presenting his CONCACAF counterpart with the logo of the Qatari national team with the number 22, in reference to Qatar's hosting of the World Cup 2022 for the first time in the Middle-East.
