The doubles match, however, saw Rayane Alami and Mousa Zayed go down to Christian Didier Chin and Syed Mohamed Agil 6-0, 2-6, 6-2. The Chairman of National Teams Committee at the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation Khalid Al Khalaifi said in a statement today that he was happy to win in the start of the competition, adding that the Qatar team's victory at the start of the campaign will give a great boost to the players in the coming days, especially as everyone sets a key goal that we all strive to achieve which is the qualification of Davis Cup 2020 in Group B. Qatar will now take on Syria (who beat Iran 3-0) today in the second round robin tie. (QNA)
