Qatar Beat Oman in GCC Tennis Championship

Doha, April 25 (QNA) - U-12 and U-16 Qatar Tennis Teams beat Oman counterparts in the GCC Tennis Championship hosted by Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) in cooperation with the GCC Organizing Committee, with the participation of three teams: Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait. The U-12 Qatari team represented by Mishary Nawaf and Fahad Al Khelaifi beat Oman 3-0. The U-16 Qatari team represented by Rashed Nawaf, Nasser Al Yafei and Ghanim Al Khulaifi, beat the Omani counterpart with two sets to one. The Chairman of the National Teams Committee Khalid Al Khulaifi said in a press statement that Qatar is very pleased to host GCC Tennis Championship as it will benefit Qatari players and provide them with an opportunity to develop their performance and gain more experience. He pointed out that organizing the Championship is an ideal platform for the development and promotion of tennis in GCC countries, as well as strengthening the bonds of brotherhood linking the peoples of the region.
