Qatar Olympic Committee Extends Suspension of All Local Sport Activities Until April 30

Doha, April 15 (QNA) - The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) announced Tuesday that it has extended the suspension of all local sports activities and events until April 30 to ensure the safety of all employees of the sports organizations and community members from coronavirus (COVID-19). "In line with the protective measures taken by the State of Qatar to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we extended the suspension of all local sports activates until April 30, 2020," QOC said in a statement. The QOC's decision comes in line with the preventive measures taken by the State of Qatar to limit the spread of coronavirus by banning public gatherings in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Public Health and the concerned authorities.
